third man records

Whew….we had a busy day in Nashville!  The Country Music Hall of Fame, Studio B recording studio, The Grand Ole Opry (although we didn’t have time for a tour) and Todd’s highlight of the day….Third Man Records.  We walked for literally miles to get to this store.  It’s owned by Jack White of the White Stripes and is very, very tiny…I was expecting something more like the sprawling Electric Fetus.  Anyway, the coolest thing in the store is this old recording booth….it’s a refurbished machine from 1947 that allows you to record a real “33 record from within the booth.  Since neither of us have much musical talent, we had to be satisfied with the photo opp and a few vinyl records instead!
